733 Enamelled scent bottle with dancing girl / Flacone smaltato con fanciulla danzante

 

Cylinder form scent bottle, with a hinged top, silver gilt patterned mount, and inner glass stopper. The bottle is decorated in the round with polychrome enamels and features a young female figure  in blue gown dancing with a butterfly; the top and bottom are painted with a continuation of the scene, a bridge and a tall tree ending on the hinged lid.  France, 1860 ca    7 cm

Flacone a forma cilindrica, con parte superiore incernierata, montato in argento con motivo e tappo interno in vetro. La bottiglia è decorata a tutto tondo con smalti policromi e presenta una giovane figura femminile in abito azzurro che danza con una farfalla; la parte superiore e inferiore sono dipinte con una continuazione della scena, un ponte e un alto albero che termina sul coperchio incernierato. Francia, 1860 c. 7 cm
