*Simon Rosenau (born between 1796 e 1856) - source was active in Kissingen in 1862; he had also a branch in Paris. He was first listed as "Hofantiquar", rougly; supplier of antique for the Royal Bavarian Court. His son Hermann Simon Rosenau (b.1861 d. 1943) took over his father's business in the 1890ies and started selling antique silverware in the Hanau style. His Rosenau's ties with the Hanau industry were strong and possibly much of the "old" silver Rosenau mark was actually made by Hanau based companies. He retired in 1932 and after having lived in Munich he moved to Paris from were he was deported to Auschwitz in 1943. ** Simon Rosenau (nato tra il 1796 e il 1856) era attivo a Kissingen nel 1862; aveva anche una filiale a Parigi. Fu inizialmente indicato come "Hofantiquar", cioè fornitore di antiquariato per la corte bavarese reale. Suo figlio Hermann Simon Rosenau (1861/1943) rilevò l'attività di suo padre nel 1890 e iniziò a vendere argenteria antica nello stile di Hanau.
