401 WWI Trench Art French scent bottle / Flacone ricordo della Prima guerra Mondiale

Metal scent bottle, example of Trench Art (usually you find lighters, so called briquet, letter openers, inkwells, ecc.): on one side the Belgian Lion and the words "Lens, Vimy Roeux, Buillecourt"; on the other side the French Singing Cockerel  and the word "Craonne 304"; all these towns were the scene of bloody battles between April 1917 and May 1918.       France 1920 ca        5,5 cm

Flacone in metallo, esempio di arte da trincea (di solito si trovano accendini, cosiddetti briquet, tagliacarte, calamai, ecc.): su un lato il Leone Belga e la scritta "Lens, Vimy Roeux, Buillecourt" ; dall'altra il Gallo Francese e la parola "Craonne 304"; tutte queste città furono teatro di sanguinose battaglie tra l'aprile 1917 e il maggio 1918.   Francia 1920 c.  5,5 cm
