Throwaway scent bottles made of glass usually clear and  decorated with handpainted gilt and enamel; the most common decoration was alternating gilt cross-hatching  and simple gilt striped oval shapes called "thumbprints", sometimes molded or carved into the glass; also called "English lavenders"; difficult to date.   England, 18th/19th Cent.  from 5 to 11 cm

Flaconi usa e getta in vetro solitamente trasparente decorate con dorature e smalti dipinti a mano; la decorazione più comune era l'alternanza di tratteggi incrociati dorati  e semplici forme ovali rigate dorate chiamate "impronte", a volte modellate o scolpite nel vetro; sono anche chiamate "Lavande Inglesi" difficile da datare.                                              Inghilterra, 18°/19° sec. da 5 a 11 cm
